Why will you commit sucide? even almangiri use to eat 3timer a day why keep fooling yourself than sucide will make you rest? or are u trying to go and bribe God?.

The younger generation should take lessons from this. Expecting an uncertain government to take care of you after retirement, not all pensioners are lucky, and maybe he doesn't have responsible grown children, apart from our greedy politicians there is hardly a reward for service

Every thought of suicide is not from God...example is Job who did not follow the advise of his wife to curse God and die.....it is better to endure ones troubles and then continually seek the face of God

Depression is real and suicide is real m... It only takes the grace of God to stand the hardship in this nation ... Help someone by checking on them and speaking to them about whatever they might be going through it helps alot ... But suicide is sinful...dont do it

Not too surprising anyway. The life of the pensioner most especially at the state level is full of frustrations and despair.

Please God come to our rescue in Nigeria. And some cold hearted Governors like Ajimobi (aka constituted authority) will still derive joy from abusing suffering workers even after owing them 14 months full salaries and pensions.

The Ajimobis, Aregbesolas, Yahaya Bellos of this world will never know peace. As they deprive workers of their salaries, they will be deprived of any joy on their children. They and their wives shall end their lives in misery. No resting place for them in this world and the great beyond

A retired worker with the Benue State Local Government Service, Mr. Gabriel Nomsha, committed suicide because he couldn't afford to feed his family and pay his children's school fees.

The Chairman of Coalition of Local Government Pensioners,’ Mike Vembe, who disclosed this on Wednesday, during the peaceful demonstration at the Government House Makurdi, said Mr Nomsha hanged himself a week ago due to frustration.

"One of our members, Gabriel Nomsha, from Gwer West Local Government Area, committed suicide last week as a result of poverty and frustration."
He explained that after the deceased had been screened, he came with the hope of collecting his pension but was disappointed when he wasn’t paid.

At least 2,000 local pensioners from 23 local government areas of the state on Tuesday slept at the gate of the Government House in Makurdi to protest the non-payment of their pension to the tune of N1.1 billion.

The pensioners arrived the government House in the afternoon but could not see the governor so they decided to pass the night at the gate of government house.

Before pdp handed over power, 27 states were owing their workers several months of salary. Nigeria has still not recovered from the damage pdp inflicted on her.
