Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan ex-spokesperson, Doyin Okupe, has reacted to a Acting President Yemi Osibanjo's speech while addressing some civil servants in Abuja on Wednesday May 24th.

According to Doyin, he disagrees with Osibanjo, who was quoted saying 'prayer and fasting alone cannot help grow Nigeria if the needed hardwork is not put into it'.

Here are tweets from him, following his disagreement;

One can not work hard to the progress of a country he feels he doesn't belong. You all have succeeded in creating unpatriotic citizens with your words and actions.

Okupe's words here seem uncharitable, trying to play the religious card to whip up sentiments Nigerians have long fallen for.
Yes their are further ramifications to the Acting President's admonishion to civil servants such as the Executive & Legislative leading by example, he attempted to clear some cobwebs from the thinking of the average Nigerian, by putting the influence of religion here, in proper perspective.
But here we go again with our typical politician trying a spin score a point, however cheap.
