This policy by CBN that every bank account will be loosing 52.50 naira every month in the name of "atm card maintenance fee" is it fair? I do not understand how they will be maintaining a card that is in my possession. Are the customers suppose to maintain their own property for them? This government fraud is becoming too much and first bank sef no even allow month to end they done butcher the money plus vat. I tire ooo. Wetin go happen to people wey their account already dey on minimum balance?

The bank actually spend a lot maintaining its in-house platforms hence the charge. Accounts already on minimum balance will be thrown into debit, this means the customer owes the bank somewhat.
Agitation to implement this charges started long ago tho it's the wrong time to diffuse such plans.
