creepsyme: The only forward looking question so far. Many are concerned with immediate non-practicality of electric vehicles in Nigeria but we forget that we are oil-reliant economy and once there is no demand for it in the immediate future, we are done for. 4 Likes |

The main concern is that Nigeria must find alternative means of generating revenue or the unthinkable will happen. History has proven that there were different dispensations and we are about to see the end of the oil age. There was a time in history that it was all about steel, then coal before oil and gas but now it's about IT and renewable energy. We all thought oil could last till 2050 but with the rate of technological advancement, I bet if our children will believe there was a time oil and gas rule the world. 2 Likes |

Mayydayy: Chill bro, is all about energy conversion and fyi, fossil fuel still takes the lead when it comes to flexibility. How do you get the electrical energy to propel the so called electric cars? Hydro is getting outdated, very little can be tapped from the solar energy directly, so what are we saying? Science is yet to discover an alternative energy source to comfortably replace fossil fuel, all these things na story. |

Many still dont understand the whole thing... what will it cost our main filling stations to put solar panel on their roof and charging points for EVs nothing. if you stay in lagos and your vehicle can do 350km in one charge it means that most people will only charge their vehicle once a month. with their solar panel. Lagos to Onitsha 600km 2 charge. Lagos to Abuja 700km 2 charge. Lagos to Ph 900km 3 charge So its very possible. remember there are other means of travel that cause a lot of pollution so any solution will be highly welcome. We need to take advantage o this rather than be victims if not our oil will be taken abroad and supplied back to nigeria as the only market that needs it. |

with the rapid advancement in wireless charging it is only a matter of time before gasoline cars become historical relics in museums just like her steam predecessor ..charging vehicles will be as simple as driving into a designated car park with no need for wires. it presents a great entrepreneurial opportunity because the same way we have filling stations littered everywhere would be the same way we would have charging parks littered everywhere with time.. The Future is already here people. |
