She is a Nollywood Actress. Yet for whatever reason, she killed a male friend in order to acquire his property. The court found her guilty of drugging and drowning her male friend in 2002 in Kano.

She was subsequently held in Kaduna Central prison from where she was transferred to Hadejia prison before she escaped about 6 years ago.And now, she has been fished out and re-arrested by the security agents to face the repercussion of her crime.

The story looks that of a script for a film to produced soon (I will be surprised if none of the popular script writers have gone half-way in its production by now) but friends, this is a true story that has just taken place here in Nigeria – the land of positive and negative wonders.

This post is all about a Nollywood Actress who goes by the name Rabi Ismail. This lady was sentenced to death by a High Court in Kano on the 5th of January, 2005 for drugging and then drowning a male friend of hers – Auwalu Ibrahim – in her bid to acquire his property and in July, 2011, the Supreme Court upheld the judgement prescribing death by hanging.

The criminally minded lady Ms Ismail was subsequently held in Kaduna Central prison from where she was transferred to Hadejia prison before she escaped about 6 years ago.

Well after enjoying her illegal freedom for six whole years, luck has run out on her as she fell right back into the hands of the security forces and ultimately the four walls of the prison once again.

The Controller General of Prisons has now come out to express his appreciation of the assistance provided by security agencies particularly the SSS and the police in arresting the fugitive while also stating that security measures have been beefed up to prevent persons in prison custody from escaping.

Well, it is our hope that the smart lady will not be declared missing again from the prison in the near future.
