Following the arrest of the embattled Nigerian singer Dammy Krane who was arrested in the US for grand theft and fraud, one of his aunts who resides in the US has taken to his side. Dammy Krane’s aunt wanted her identity to be protected as she could not help coming to the aid of the Nigerian singer whose image is gradually getting tarnished. She explained that she got wind of his detention on the internet. According to her, the dark skinned singer had visited her a week before. On making some calls, she confirmed that it was indeed true.
Dammy Krane’s aunt revealed that the guy he was arrested with, Chukwuebuka, had booked him for a show this weekend in Miami. The singer had been booked across America for shows.
The devastated lady revealed that it was Chukwuebuka that booked and paid for the private jet with the stolen card details. The same guy had also made the hotel reservations. “You know it is a usual thing for show promoters to book flight tickets for artistes, so one cannot blame Dammy in this situation. A lawyer has already been contacted but unfortunately, Dammy would have to
stay in jail till Monday when they would be able to go to court to perfect bail conditions,” she said. The Nigerian singer was arrested on Friday, June 2, after he allegedly booked a jet from Tap Jets to Miami using stolen credit cards. The private jet leasing company has vowed to take the case up as they detest all sorts of fraudulent activities.

Just as we thought; whole thing didn't add up.

There had to have been a mix-up somewhere. How would an upcoming, home-based Naija artiste like Krane 'conveniently, lay hands on stolen credit cards within a few weeks of getting to US and then do the most obviously stupid thing of booking private-jets flights for himself, with the same cards? Would it be possible for someone that resourceful, that smart also be that simultaneously vain and dumb?

Wouldn't he have at least had some assistance if he indeed did the crime? Or what about the possibility of there being a mix-up? No thanks to haters, it was quicker and cheaper to hate, judge and wish the guy bad as payoff for their uneventful and under-achieving lives as if na him curse them. "If you can do the crime, then you can do the time" blah blah blah cussing and passing judgment without even thinking through the scenario small-small?

My take?
Criminal Law Implies That A Suspect Is Not Guilty Until Proven So. Let Him Have His Time In A Court Of Competent Jurisdiction. Let The Facts Come Out Before playing Judge-Judy, What If you’re Wrong? Naija don finish, we just don’t care anymore about whether we’re intentionally destroying persin or not. Would other countries react to news of one of their own like this? Most y'all Nigerians are killjoys who would laugh with a man just with the skin of your teeth while searching for a chance to slay him with the same teeth at the slightest opportunity. Disloyalty and self-hate runs deep, these people sef!

On the other hand, if found guilty, they should just do us a favor and send him and every "gang-member" concerned (including the Ilochonwu Chukwuebuka Gabriel guy who booked the flight with the stolen cards) straight to Alcatraz to live out their shame there.
