Celebrities all over the world live fake lives. They often live fake lives because they feel like they ought to live up to a certain standard in the society. Most celebrities don't want to be associated with being broke so they resort to lying about their financial status. Majority of these celebrities lie about their financial capability often due to pressures from the society. Anyone who doesn't portray the image of a flashy lifestyle is often seen as poor. Also, these celebrities lie about their financial status in order to keep with their fellow celebrities. Even if they lack the means, they will go at extra length to get it so they would 'belong'. The female celebs often stick themselves with one rich alhaji or politician to meet their needs. Unfortunately, the youths today look up to these celebrities as role models and they desire to be like them. This often pushes them into lives of crime not knowing that these celebs live fake lives in order to remain relevant in the society. Social media has worsened the situation. However, I'm not trying to insinuate that there aren't celebrities out there who don't work hard for their money but they are few.Conclusively, we should not always believe everything we see on social media.
