According to an online report by Ogechi Henry, a young man who hails from Awo-omanma in Oru East LGA in Imo state was thoroughly beaten by the angry youths of Umuaku village in Ogbaku, Mbaitoli Local Government Area after he was caught stealing electric cables.

The community youths led by their leaders taught the electric cable thief the lesson of his life. Their communities have in recent times witnessed massive theft of the electric materials ranging from cables and all sorts of wires, thereby paralyzing the community not to have electricity.

Nigerians are Nigeria's problem, we will complain that there is no electricity and other infrastructure but same Nigerians are the ones going to destroy and steal the little ones available that they are supposed to develop on, why will someone in his right thinking decide to steal cables that will transfer electricity to people home . I even heard that some people go to dig potholes on the middle of some tarred roads so that they can cause traffic to either sell their market in it or form to be patching the road and tasking/begging people for money.
