Few months ago, Nigerians collectively resisted networks providers' plan of getting legal backing from the Senate to increase data tariff. But few months down the line, it seems these guys have finally increased data tariff through the back door.

This is evident in the fact that a 1k subscription of 1.5G which is supposedly meant to last one month, barely lasts a week without heavy downloads. While the thieves send me messages of 10G for 5k a month. What that means is that if I want something that would last a month, I should subscribe for 10G.

I showed sympathy for MTN when they were fined Billions of Naira, but this recent deception deserves more punishment than ever before.

What is your experience like. Is there any network which is different?

Yeah faced that also had to upgrade to Airtel 3GB for N1,500

The data used to last me a month before (combining it with using my modem subscription), but all of a sudden this week, subscription got from 600MB to 0MB in 3 days. I was shocked, and when I checked my data usage stats on the phone, it read barely 150MB.

Seriously I thought I was the only one seeing the madness from them, the data depletes at an alarming rate lately, make no mistake to click on the download button irrespective of the file size cos you will get sms reminder of the remaining data thereafter. It's just crazy.

At most, 11days without any download.

I was forced to go get a BlackBerry classic last week because of this Mtn shit. imagine I sub and after three days it's finished, did that for 2 weeks I just decided to get a blackberry and am using airtel making sense now

Mtn is not helping matters at all.. I thought am the only one in Ds Ish.. I noticed I do use almost 200mb in 5hrs without streaming videos, am always on nairaland,facebook and whatsapp.
