First of all, nobody is chasing anybody away from anywhere come october.
But about Hausas distinguishing igbos from other southern people, i don't agree with you. Most Hausas believe that any southerner who is not Yoruba is Igbo. That's the fact on ground. Infact until now, even some educated ones among them thought Goodluck Jonathan is Igbo. I am not saying this to gain any solidarity from other southerners, i'm just stating the fact. Ask around.
