Odumakin, Afenifere's spokesman, has chastised the north for thinking they can declare war against Igbo’s, saying it would not work. He however warned of an ethnic massacre if the northern youth’s coalition carries out its threat. According to Odumakin, in 1967, the Igbos were not fighting anyone but simply protesting against their marginalization Yinka Odumakin, the spokesman of pan-Yoruba political organization Afenifere, has raised the alarm over the recent notice given by the Coalition of Northern Youths to Igbos in their region, asking them to vacate the region. In a chat with The Sun, Odumakin urged northern leaders to caution their youths, warning that the 3-month eviction notice issued may be the beginning of the end for Nigeria. He stated, Carrying out their threats would be a prelude to another pogrom. These elements have over the years showed their propensity to attack people, but like the Chinua Achebe said, they are holding a knife to the tiny rope that still holds the country together. I hope that if they still have elders, their elders should call them to order, otherwise, it may be the beginning of the end of Nigeria, as we know it. They should know that in 1967, they had a coalition to fight the Igbo but that coalition is no more there today. We know the people that fought the last war and won it. I can boldly speak for the Yoruba nation, that if the north thinks they can declare another war against the Igbo, it would not work. If they see any Yoruba man joining them to fight the Igbo, then that person must be a mercenary. The Igbo were not fighting, neither were they causing any crisis, but were just trying to make their grievances known in a peaceful manner. Why should they be threatened? For northerners to tell them to leave the north is sad for the polity.

Let it end already!

Why have the Sudanese decendants gone into hiding all of a sudden?is it because the north has come out to say it misfired on the ultimatum? lol.

An average igbo man believes every thing by muscles. They dont have strategy at all. This people don't read history at all. All they just do is open shop, close it and shout Biafra. Did they no that the first struggle for Biafra failed and one of the reason was becos the food supply was closed.today they re shout Biafra and I am not seeing any agricultural project by any government on east. I wonder where tomatoes, rice ,corn and other food will be supplied or imported from if eventually Biafra stands. One simple food poisoning can cause a whole lot of damage u no? In a simple why why not fight for igbo presidency now. That is another way of winning the war of Biafra if the agitators get sense.
