Eddy Murphy is on top of his MOVIE game while his stand up days are gone for good.

Chris Rock is the king of stand up comedy while his he doesnt shine that much on movies.

Chris Tucker is 50/50 on either subject. he exploded onto the stand up comedy scene but couldnt keep it up then exploded on the movie scene as well but couldnt keep it up either.

Chris Rock is my favorite comedy actor.

Eddie Murphy in stand-up would outclass the two Chrises. And he's a better actor. I think I'll go with him on both angles.

comedy runs in their family blood. . . . . . . any of his "Charlie Murphy true Hollywood story" was a gem!!!!!

After all has been considered, its still Eddie Murphy for me. Tucker is a smooth talker(no pun intended), Chris Rock is a stand-up hit but Murphy is still it.
Check out his voice acting as donkey.

Strangely I have never really been a Murphy fan so I would go for Tucker. I prefer d older Murphy from coming to America, beverly hill cop e.t.c to d more recent Eddie Murphy.

But Chris Rock is the ONLY one among the 3 I find entertaining both in movies and stand up. His HBO shows are classics.

^^^^same here. although Chris Tucker had a great "Def Comedy Jam" start, i could never picture him up there with the greats like Rock/Murphy.

the others 2 killed the stand up scene at their respective time. Eddy Murphy was the king in his stand up days back in the early 80s with Delirious etc before moving to movies then Chris Rock came along to take the spot.

the one that stood out among all these great stand up comedians was RICHARD PRYOR!

Remember that Eddie Murphy started his career as a cast member of Saturday Night Live. He then made his big screen debut with 48 Hrs. before doing Stand-up comedy shows like "Delirious" and "Raw".

Eddie Murphy was a hot cake in the 80s and early 90s, but I still prefer Basket Mouth.

^^^you're right, that movie came out and was a success BEFORE Delirious but are you sure about Basketmouth over these 3 comedians mentioned above?
