Terror Watch List: Nigerian lawmaker deported from Amsterdam Schiphol
Written by SaharaReporters, New York

Tuggar Yusuf Maitama
A high-ranking Nigerian lawmaker, Tuggar Yusuf Maitama, this week became the first major casualty of Nigeria’s new inclusion by the United States among 14 nations allegedly with terrorist links. Hon. Maitama, who represents Gamawa federal constituency of Bauchi State, is the Chairman of the Committee on Public Procurement in the House of Representatives. Mr. Maitama was traveling to New York on a KLM flight on Monday when the US Immigrations and Customs agents in Amsterdam pulled him aside and told him that he could not fly to the United States, having been found to have “terrorist tendencies”. His visa was immediately revoked and the lawmaker was deported to Nigeria. But Saharareporters quick search through US no-fly list and terrorism-related databases did not yield Maitama’s name.

It is not yet known if Maitama was coming to New York as part of an official delegation sent by the crumbling Yar’Adua regime to meet with UK and US officials over the inclusion of Nigeria in the terror watch list. The group, which includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ojo Maduekwe; the Senate Chairman on Foreign Relations, Jubril Aminu; his counterpart in the House of Representatives, Umar Bature, as well as the chairperson of the EFCC, Farida Waziri, made a stop-over in London yesterday, and is expected to arrive in New York later today. They are to be lodged at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel New York.

That means it will be an interesting visit, as they will be welcomed tomorrow morning by Nigerian protesters who are getting ready for a Save Nigeria Group "Enough Is Enough" rally at Nigeria House on the other side of the same block.

The cumbersome delegation is unlikely to meet with much success in the US. The US state department has already dispatched to Nigeria a delegation, led by US Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of Africa, Johnnie Carson. It is expected to leave for a crucial three-day trip to meet with Goodluck Jonathan.

Mrs. Waziri's inclusion in the delegation is a surprise. Owing to the poor work of the EFCC, she is highly unpopular with the US government, and the EFCC was singled out for criticism last year when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Nigeria. In addition, Mrs. Waziri's first visit to the US a few months ago ended with her being heckled and chased out of an official function in New York by Nigerian demonstrators. That encounter could be repeated tomorrow.

You can read, but it's obvious your comprehension is close to zero.
Once again, why are the names of these 3 people not on the list. Their names ought to be, because they are all part of this failed government that caused Nigeria to be placed on the terror watch-list in the first place.

All Nigerian public officials who have EVER expressed support for the Islamization of Nigeria should be noted and added to watch lists that will prevent them entering Europe or the United States for as long as they live.

That bloodthirsty former Nigerian military despot, Buhari, who has repeatedly called for the forcible enactment of Islamic Sharia law in Nigeria, is eminently qualified to earn a spot at the very TOP of that no-fly list,  to ensure  that he can live out the rest of his worthless days buggering livestock in his goat herding village amid the dusty arid plains of Islamic northern Nigeria.

With Buhari grounded and banished from visiting civilised nations  for life, a simple check of all the Nigerian state governors who preside over Islamic law impositions will yield the names of numerous rabid terror sheiks who deserve similar sanctions by the international community.  Serious and urgent consideration should also be given to the precaution of freezing all global assets traceable to all of those fundamentalist scumbags, in order to preempt their financial support of the myriad extremist terror groups that threaten the civilised world.

Thank you, that's my point.

America have said they are not against Islam, Americans are all over Arab world working and having fun. Contributors to this trend should address issues and see beyond religious bigotry. One thing is that Northern Nigeria leaders are very guilty of cheating their commoners in terms of undereducating them while giving their own children best of education - that is an unIslamic behavior since Islam advocated equity and justice.

America has a list of name call no no fly zone. By now, members of the nigeria senate and house of representative would have all of thier names in it. It means , they and thier family would not be able to fly into the USA. They would not be able to travel to member countries too.

I says. remove the Yorubas, edo, delta and bayelsa , into benin republic. We would get the premier minister and vice president. Give Jonathan one of the position period. That disban nigeria. And change the name, to what ever you want.

The semicolon appended to Becomerich's name confirms that he has indeed survived yet another of many precision banning missile attacks, and is back in full force and with all relevant satellite imagery locked and loaded for instant deployment.

Eons from now, the concepts and ideals of Becomerichism will be debated and analysed by scholars and historians.

we all wanna curse and strike out at our leaders right? i think we all should look in wards and make sure we are nothing like them.

If the leaders were the only corrupt Nigerians i bet Nigeria would be far better than it is today,

wait. do media people have the ability to search the terror suspects database.? I thought something like that would only be open to U.S. govt. officials.

Anyways this is real good. The U.S. should keep denying these people.
