In recent weeks security issues has been the concern of the citizens of Cross River, especially those living in Calabar south, Ogoja and Obubua.

It all began when a man, believed to be a top cultist was killed at Goldie By Mount Zion Road, a highly populated area in Calabar South, Cross River some weeks ago

Along the week, three persons were killed in revenge of the deceased by a rival group

On Saturday, in Ogoja, a local government in Cross River a cult clash sparked among rival groups,
which lead to two being killed, three seriously wounded and many houses burnt.

This incident which occurred outside the school premises of Cross River State University Of Technology, Ogoja saw lecturers and Students toke off for safety

The students, staffs of CRUTECH, Ogoja are moving around with fear as their exams begins on Monday, June 12.

In the morning of Monday, 12 June security operatives, like the army, police, civil defense were seen in these affected areas.

In Obubua same cult clash was recorded which has lasted for two days now. As posted on Facebook by Ifere Paul, he wrote “Scores of houses touched as cult members clash in Ogoja extend to two days intense heat.”

Also, as posted by Enobong Udokang, a Facebook user and a student of CRUTECH, Ogoja, wrote; “The atmosphere is so hot here in Ogoja local government of Cross River State. Cultist displaying, kill 2 people, one was burn to dead and houses of the said cult member burnt and some properties of the cult boys. Tension is so high in ogoja. God help us oh.”

“One of the victim shot dead by the vagabonds. May his soul RIP. Ogoja need prayers oh for God intervention.”

My people we are the problem of this country. This happened not in Northern part of Nigeria but down in a dilapidated area of Niger Delta.




Not fulani herdsman nor aboki from somewhere but the real bona-fide members of that community.


Now is the time, nobody will come from somewhere and develop our LG, States, or our Country.


Let peace reign.
