For Lagos LG poll, we actually planned to participate but INEC delayed our confirmation and time for name submission has passed(according to LASIEC timetable).

But I will find out if our party will test the waters in Osun rerun, though one of the party Chieftain in SW told me that they had such plan.

under which Party is your uncle running?

According to PDP constitution, an aspirant seeking to run under her platform must be a party member for at least 2 years except if given waiver by the NEC.

But we are seeing a case where Ademola Adeleke only defected a few days and he is told that he will be given ticket. Yet, people will shout betrayal when he eventually takes the party mandate into another party (if he eventually wins). More worrisome is the fact that the party NEC is yet to grant him the necessary waiver...

This is the reason PDP will continue to go 6 feet below the ground. A party that has failed to learn from its own mistakes and has continued to flout its own rules and ignore various committee reports to reposition the party.

APDA has come to save!!!

BTW: Ademola Adeleke is not a "Senator" yet

Behold, a political prostitute. Why are you defecting up and down ? The party manifestos in this country are perfectly okay. It is the people that corrupt and abuse the manifestos. This new party will not be different because the founders are not saints.

The solution is not Parties, it is the people. We need to go back to people-centered politics of Regional governances with a regulatory and supervisory center at Abuja.

Well Osun West may not due to relatively unavailability of time... A party needs a couple of months to get settled

The way APC is running it's affairs clearly shows it can't withstand d test of time. It's always bn personal interest over every other factor.
Apart frm d legitimacy of d other candidate (if media report is right), even a slowpoke shud understand d fact dat d other Adeleke has carved a niche 4 himself evident by d actions of his supporters during his burial & dat this affection ll easily be transferred to his siblings rather than d party.
APC is still surviving simply cos there's no viable opposition.

undecided
So ede is only town in osun west right? When Mudashiru stepped down for late senator Isiaka Adeleke, nothing was wrong with apc then, now that he was cleared to contest you're talking rubbish. Better make finding before you say rubbish on social media. The sit is not inheritance for Adeleke family alone, thousands of people are qualified to contest that seat

Better. Plan well so you can make a good show of your first election. The first one you contest in matters a lot.

Demola adeleke is not desperate..... according to APC constitution senator mudasiru hussein is not qualify to contest because is still a serving commission in osun and before someone can contest according to Party constitution you need to resign from your previous public servants assignment 30days to the screening exercise which he failed to do so till the day of screening.
The screening committee rejected hussein that is not eligible to contest seen is still a serving commissional. After that hussein appeal and failed appeal also .dey now go to abuja an change the whole story that Nation work Committee have cleared hussein that he can contest for the primary.... and the delegates list has been manipulated by APC osun chairman chapter...
With all this is can't blame demola cause APC osun state are against there family

It's crystal clear that Osun Apc are happy that Sen. Adeleke died. left for me, Ademola Adeleke should have been allowed to finish his elder brother's tenure since he believes that he can finish that which his brother started. I believe he is going to win the bye election Sha even under Sherriff or Makarfi faction. #I'm not from Osun ooooo, but I wish him d best of lucks

These Nigerian politicians are a piece of joke, they keep fighting for their selfish interest. None of them have the good of the people at heart, the aged ones are still ruling over us, while they keep telling us the lame sh1ts that's we are the leaders of tomorrow. They'll send their children to schools abroad, so they can take over from them when they no longer have the strength to lead. Nigeria politics is a cycle sad
The young ones are still agitating for Biafra and issuing quit notice

Senator Ademola Adeleke has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People's Democratic party(PDP). Ademola, a former APC candidate for the Osun-West senatorial district in the upcoming July 8th by-elections, decamped because of the party's decision to clear another candidate, Mudashiru Hussain, for the position, despite his disqualification.

The Secretary of the Adeleke Support Group, Alhaji Saheed Afolabi, who is an APC chieftain confirmed that Adeleke had picked the PDP nomination form to contest the primary expected to hold on Wednesday.

In his words;

“Otunba Ademola Adeleke has picked the PDP nomination form. You will see him at the PDP primary election tomorrow. He is only going for affirmation because the PDP has talked to their aspirants and they have all agreed that Ademola Adeleke should be given the ticket. The APC Screening Committee disqualified Senator Mudashiru Hussain, the Appeal Committee disqualified him but the NWC, after an intervention by some powerful persons, manipulated the whole thing and overturned it. We know what they mean but we are also ready for them.

The entire people of the Osun-West senatorial district are solidly behind Ademola Adeleke. They cannot stop him and he is going to win this election. Our appeal to INEC and the acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, is that they should not allow the desperate APC leaders in Osun State to use them to rig the election."

Politics Nigeria was able to obtain a Photograph of Ademola Adeleke's letter to the National Chairman of the APC, John Odigie Oyegun, informing him of his resignation from the party.
