Many people avoid or deny fear, feeling they would be much better off if it never existed. As a matter of fact, we would all be much worse off if fear did not exist. Without fear we could not function. It is critical to our existence.

Then as a psychology student, our lecturer would always ask if we wished pain did not exist. And we often emphatically state, "Yes!". And he will tell us that life would be impossible without pain. Take for instance the pain you feel when you place your hand upon a hot stove. Because you feel pain you immediately pull your hand away, sparing yourself serious injury. Fear is the emotional equivalent of physical pain.

Fear

Fear is what keeps us alive. It’s the reason people still fall in love.

Fear is what makes people go to work, people check time because of fear.

Once one stops fearing something, it stops existing.

Everything you ever wanted is in the other side of fear.

You can never love without fear, for the moment you stop fearing, it means you no longer have value for it anymore and obviously, it dies slowly.

Fear is like jealousy, you need it, we all need it,

For what you love, the fear of losing it, makes you guard it jealously.

Fear, yes fear!
