The National Bureau of Statistics pegged the inflation rate for May at 16.25%.

The NBS also released a state by state breakdown of inflation rate in the country. See image:

Strange to see the poor states having highest inflation. Ebonyi, Bauchi, Ekiti etc that are agrarian and civil servant states. With low purchasing power thus having few monies chasing usual consumption goods, why I inflation high in such states?

I thought they said things are really cheap up north with mega billionaires? Why is there inflation there then ?

Man this interesting. Kogi only has 5% price inflation. Does anyone see a pattern to see reason why?

See inflation, too high.

Kogi's rate must be a mistake. Almost 11% better than National figure, facing same economic variables. THEY MEANT 15.30%
