EzeUche:You are old but talk childishly. Do you imagine there is any scenario outside of Nigeria in which there will be immediate peace and order once all these nationalities start to unravel? That everything will be quiet and peaceful with law and order everywhere? That will never happen rather what will happen is the emergence of 1000 warlords engaged in kidnapping, bunkering Boko Haram activities and so on. No government will be able to establish order for decades and most of the resources will go on weapons . Those with good brains and foresight can see this. It is only the foolish that imagine there will be breakups new governmentsite set up and the rule of law will overtake the region. The mentality of our politicians, our civilians, our police and soldiers should help us predict what the country will look like. Most likely it will be worse than Somalia for decades. At a conservative estimate well over 10 million people will die and it is not bravery to say Bring it on only to run away when it gets tough. The belief that your cause is right and just does not translate to success without a plan . The main challenge in the entire Nigerian space will be security. Security is bad today. In that scenario it will be 10 times worse. Whether good or bad the reality is that there cannot be a peaceful breakup of Nigeria that is the truth. In all scenarios it will be very bloody for very long and when the dust settles the inheritors will be different from the initiators 5 Likes 1 Share |

aribisala0: The above is but a wishful imagination of a one Nigerianist. Yugoslavia broke into different countries after a war and years of corruption and inept government preceding the war, yet non of the scenario you painted played out, why should Nigeria disintegration be any different. This whole scare mongering idea of presenting a gloomy state of things post Nigeria disintegration in desperate attempt at scaring people into settling for a failed British colonial estate rather than take their destinies into their hands is becoming pathetic and boring. 9 Likes 1 Share |

pazienza:This is not scare mongering or in any way intended as a deterrent not only Yugoslavia there are other examples of peaceful breakups when the constituents have a future independently and there is money not poverty and starvation around. The idea of any of the constituent parts in the south living in peace and plenty while the north is hungry and desperate is complete foolishness. Those who are stakeholders will not gamble with insecurity in their neighbourhood and go on an emotional gamble like is your wont. Rather we must have a vision of the security infrastructure that will exist post breakup. What will be the boundaries? What will happen to those in diaspora. All these things are doable but not through the reckless vision of Nnamdi Kanu.but more serious negotiations and guarantees. The number condition is that Barack must be PERMANENTLY DEMILITARISED The north have said you can go all we are say is do it without creating crisis. So first get your representatives to arrange a referendum not Nnamdi Kanu, he has no status. If he wants to be recognised he has two options to take up arms or contest election. You will achieve nothing by making noise except pain for your people living in the rest of Nigeria. That can be avoided by acting sensible, it does not mean giving up your dream but stop creating needless controversy by covering other people's land. I interpret that as a face saving tactic indicating you don't really want to go. Accept the boundaries of your territory and stop abusing people 1 Like |
