I wrote GCE many years back, I went some years later to collect my certificate and was told I needed the exam's photocard. Where did they expect me to get that after over 10years, I have even graduated from university by then. By the way I was lucky, I wrote my SS CE after the GCE and cleared that too, so I just went to my alma matter to collect the School Certificate and I have been using that since. I dashed WAEC the certificate.
What am I driving at? They should remove photocard from the requirement if they want people to collect their certificates or they make the certificates available as soon as the results are released. An authentic identification card should suffice to collect a certificate. Why should WAEC expects people to still have photocards of exams written many years back. It doesn't make sense, at least to me.

I am the worst in this category, I have not collected my primary school leaving certificate, have not collected WAEC, have not collected GCE certificate, have not collected BSc certificate, I have been fine with just the statement of results, they can keep the certificates.

I wrote mine in Port Harcourt , am now based in abuja. I want to ask if I can get my original certificate in abuja.

I agree with you. It makes zero sense. I wrote mine in 2014, and I no longer have the photo card, let alone someone who wrote theirs over 10 years ago. It's ridiculous, not to you alone. It makes absolutely no sense. I'm glad I don't even need it, since I have my SSCE.

i am in your boat as well, the only original stuff i have with me is the NYSC discharged certificate!

Please who knows if GCE 2016 CERTIFICATES ARE OUT?
