*COCKCROW IN BRICK HOUSE AS INFORMATION COMMISSIONER RESIGNS*

For many keen observers of the strange and inhumane policies and appointments of the Wike led administration in Rivers State, yesterday's resignation of the very vocal information commissioner and frontline defender of the government, *Dr. Austin Tam George* did not come as a surprise.
What is surprising is the length of time he and some other patriotic Rivers sons and daughters have had to endure the brutish, clueless, directionless and tyrannical rule of Gov Nyesom Wike.

It is common knowledge that the self professed Best Governor of Rivers State is a respecter or listener of no person or considers no wise and informed counsel from very capable and experienced Rivers men and women who ought to have helped him direct the ship away from this shallow waters we now find our state in.

Overtime Gov. Wike has displayed flagrant disregard for the expertise and counsel of members of his cabinet and friends of government; but seemed determined to foist a mediocre and colourless administration on Rivers people.

Like his former Senior Special Assistant on media and publicity, *Sir. Opunabo Inko-Tariah*, more appointees are beginning to wake up. They seem to have had enough of "Mr. Problem wrongly referred to as Mr. Project's" selfish and tyrannical government.

Indeed, it was only a matter of time before all well meaning proud sons and daughters of Rivers State who find themselves in Wike's sinking ship jumped to safety.

Soon, sordid stories of neglect and disrespect of views and advice from the former commissioner will hit public domain.
In the coming weeks and months, it is imperative that many more of our people see the light and take the path of honour just like *Hon. Austin Tam George* so that together, we can liberate our beloved State from the evil forces that wish to milk her of all its resources.

Our past requires it. Our present demands it. Our future clamours for it. Rivers State cannot afford to remain backward.

aaiya, I just feel for this man. after running his mouth day and night in defence of wike he has finally 'come home to roost'. they ain't seen nothing yet, by the time wike is done with them, instead of calling him judas of ubima they would see amaechi and call him jesus of ubima.

Dr. Austin Tam-George is so civil and matured that I still find it strange why he chose to work for Wike. You can see it from his Media briefings that he is someone that can't do propanganda.

But it is interesting to know that this country still has some politicians that have honour.

In saner climes, some touts will never get close to position of leadership; but this is Nigeria where money is worshiped despite its source.

True. The political system we have in Nigeria is programmed to throw up touts and criminals as leaders. Wike's predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi was equally uncouth and a tour.
