"please don't do this to me" Jason held the man's leg as he spoke "you can beat me, cut me, torment me, but don't take this money from me, don't take my hope away from me. I promise never to see Aliya again, never pleas!" Jason cried loudly.

"And what do you intend to do with this huge amount of money?" a man asked.

"for my sight, I must regain my sight with the money, please don't throw me into an everlasting darkness"

"oh oh! You want to regain your vision so that you can find Aliya right? “ another man said as he picked the hundred naira note he had earlier given him. "you don't deserve a kobo" he concluded

"let's go!" the leader commanded.

Jason quickly got to his feet, he wouldn't let them go with his money, never, not without putting up a fight.. They mustn't take the money so easily, he had work too hard for the sum, they would only take the money after his death. He quickly held a man's shirt, luckily for him it was the man with the box, Jason held unto the box tightly while being dragged along with it.


The leader erupted in rage, he pulled him up to his feet and gave him rounds of punches on his face, another foot came up from the pavement and kicked him in the face, Jason tried to save himself from fainting. He held the leader's leg and wouldn't let go giving the same mantra "please! Please!! Please!!!"

Although he was week and tired, he didn't let go. One of the men, who had been irritated by the while fight, made a diabolical move, he picked up a heavy stick and hit him on hs two knees repeatedly breaking his limbs.. Jason screamed in pain, holding his legs as he rolled on the pavement. The men carried him and dumped him in an unknown street, then drove away..


Jason had lost everything, he had lost his parents, his home, his vision, his hard earned money, his jetta bus home, his lovely Aliya and now he had lost his two legs. Iife was indeed a hell on Earth for the poor boy, he wondered where to begin, he wondered if he was ever going to revenge his mother's death, if he was ever going to see his baby brother again. He had practically capitulated in the wicked world.

Jason was unfamiliar with his new environment, with his vision lost and limbs broken, feeding was a herculean task. While the wind swept through the empty street as clouds scudded overhead, blotting out the stars, slashing torrents of rain tore at the poor boy show sat, shivering and lonely on the street corner. All Jason desired was to find somewhere to live in, somewhere to warm his sad and hurt heart.

Questions crossed his mind concerning his destiny, the poor boy had adapted his days, but he would no longer be patient enough to confront his more next harsh days because his situation seemed not to encourage him to hold out.
Jason's health was going worse and worse as his small dream to own a nest where he could at least hid his broken heart. People passed him by their comfortable and expensive vehicles :but he had never paid attention to this richness because his dream was to have his sight back and revenge his mother's death, perhaps find his brother if he wasn't dead already.

The night was his pain because the sun of dawn took a long time to appear, but he always rose before the sunrise in an attempt to scavenge the rubbish, maybe he could find some remnants of the previous night that had been disposed of by some families. But he had been disappointed as he hadn't find even a crumbs of food since three days.

As shops opened its doors, the boy walked towards the owners to ask for food, or maybe money but no one gave him a second look, some people even rained abusive and nasty words on him as he crawled away back to his unwanted place in disappointment.
One morning, Jason was extremely farmished but he had made up his mind not to beg again nor search through refuses for food. That day, he had planned to commit suicide, not by hanging, taking poison or jumping from above the mountain. He was going to commit the Hara-kiri by running into a speeding vehicle.

As Jason crawled along the dusty road, he knew he had failed his mother, his baby brother and his beloved Aliya. He wouldn't be able to revenge his mother's death, find his brother or his love. He was tired and extremely in pains, he needed to seek asylum I heaven, if death didn't come to him, he would go to him.

Soon Jason crawled to the main road, limb by limb, an express on which numerous vehicles sped. He listened attentively to the vehicles as he awaited for a perfect opportunity to collide. He prayed for the unfortunate driver who, unknown to him, would hit him. But he knew he wouldn't be repremanded for he was just a loitering beggar.

"Im Sorry Tony, this irresponsible and Cowardly brother of yours had failed you, I hope you are not dead yet, I hope you are out there growing up to become great I life, I promise you that in our next life, u will be a better brother" a tear rolled down his face as he continued

"my beloved Aliya, I know you are out there waiting for me to find you, unfortunately this dastard is giving up. Please forget about me and find a more deserving boyfriend, I wish we meet again In a more comfortable life. I love you, please be happy "now the tears were rolling freely like an ocean.


" Momma, please don't forgive me, I'm not worthy of your forgiveness, I have failed you, when we see in heaven please ignore me "he concluded as he cleansed his teary face.

Soon, Jason heard the sound of another moving vehicle coming, he was alert, he waited till it was meters away. The driver who was busy on a call, didn't know what was about to happen, Jason Mae sure the car was very near then he jumped. The speeding ar knocked him so hard that its bumper carried him along.

The driver, realizing to his horror that he had hit a man, marched the brake making Jason dropped to the ground shaking violently like a person suffering from electrocution, as blood oozed from him mouth and head. The unfortunate driver quickly get down and rushed to him as he shouted for help. Jason gazed back towards the blur vision of the driver, he smiled to himself as he altered a faint murmur, "Mr sextone". He then went into a complete state of unconsciousness...
