Nice looking beauty of God's creation. One needs this kind of view sometimes to forget the wahala and high cost of things in Nigeria.

It's high time we started promoting Ecotourism on an international level in this country, our land is blessed with these natural resources that are being wasted everywhere, our East African neighbours (Kenya, Tanzania and the likes) earned millions of dollards annually from these resources....Nigeria wake up.

Be careful before they accuse of forming oyibo.. If these animals were in Southern Nigeria the poor animals would have been turned to bush meat..

Most things in Nigeria is an accident waiting to happen. How can you have women and children in an open truck like this cruising around a park with wild animals. There is no male guide behind sef, only women and children, imagine how exposed they are? Behaving as if animals will wave and say "how una dey my people......

There are conservation centres in southern Nigeria as well, we have Lekki Conservation Centre in Lagos, Old Oyo NP in Oyo state, Kamuku NP in Edo and the likes, sizeable amount of wild resources are still being kept there, the problem is just that the Government have not been showing much interest in these projects.

Really nice of you to share the pictures.

Is it giraffe sanctuary or are there other animals.
Do they roam free or are they caged.
Didn't know there was a healthy giraffe population left.

Erm nobody will fly into Nigeria just to see a couple of Giraffae in a park with no internet presence, even the local people don't have enough information about it

Some Zoos in Europe have more lions than the whole of West Africa

Those Giraffes look well fes btw

Well, giraffes are found in the wild aswell although they are preyed by Lion, hyenas et al.
Iconoclaste:
Op pls identify urself in the pix.
And as an after thought, shouldn't that wild park be renamed as a giraffe park ? Cos ain't seen no wild in there.

If I am not seeing these pictures myself I won't believe this is Nigeria. Why are they not promoting these parks? My friends were sent to Kenya for a marketing training. They took time out to visit some Kenyan wide life parks. They took some pics. I was like these types of animals are long extinct in Nigeria. I am happy to know I was wrong. The government or whoever is responsible should try to promote these places. Anyway I guess lack of security (thinking of Boko Haram) will be the biggest consideration for would-be visitors. How beautiful it would be to bring my wife and my boys to this place. But then the risks may outweigh the fun benefits

That is why there is a vigorous need of intervention from all and sundry.

Giraffes are the only wildlife in the park I presume..

So boring to say the least.
You should take any animal in your possession there now so we can see more animals.
