Must have in-depth insurance coverage knowledge of property, general liability, commercial auto, umbrella, and inland marine. In this role, you must be a self-starter with the ability to work with multiple Producers, keep organized, and prioritize urgent tasks. Must not be afraid to speak up, take initiative, and be creative with the ability to negotiate with Underwriters. In addition, this person must be detail-oriented and take ownership of their work to enhance business relationships. Qualified candidates will have strong computer skills, knowledge of AMS 360 preferred and a strong understanding of insurance principles. Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities:


Develop strategies for obtaining and maintaining strong carrier relationships
Analyze and evaluate new risks.
Demonstrate a proactive and systematic approach to information gathering, analysis and problem-solving.
Communicate new/renewal business strategy to carrier and negotiate to achieve strategy
Produce and review Insurance Proposal with Producer/Account Manager
Ensure all new & renewal information is documented according to Agency quality procedures and transition the client file to Account Manager for finalization in client management system and on-going service.
Assist Producers in developing existing accounts along with marketing and coverage analysis in support of the producer.
Provide renewal quotes, review endorsements and policy changes.
Issue binders, handle non-renewals and cancellations.
Ensure accurate file and data base set up.
Partner with sales staff. Communicate accurate information and review loss history.
Attach documentation and communications in AMS.
Work with carriers on ongoing basis to maintain knowledge of marketplace and coordinate CL team education with carriers as necessary
Identify, design & implement marketing strategies for the Agency, encompassing new products, services, identification & selection of target markets and tailored/unique coverage.


Job Specifications:


Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.

Minimum Experience
1-6 years-minimum agency experience in working directly with commercial lines clients and coverage terms and conditions, with a solid understanding of underwriting and submission processes.
