Sunday Onabanjo Sobowale, SOS as he is fondly called by his friends, political associates, family and loved-ones was born over fifty years ago to the family of Mr and Mrs Sobowale both from the popular Ijebu Igbo township.

He attended St. Andrew Catholic Primary School,Erigboro via Ijebu Igbo. St. Joseph Catholic Primary School,later Victory College,Ikeja Lagos State.Later re-registered for the Private Examination (GCE) with good grades.

Sunday Onabanjo Sobowale was a pioneer member of our great party,People Democratic Party(PDP). And he has never for once decamped or leave the party for another one,even at the time there were disagreements between leaders of the party. S.O.S has played a vital role in the electioneering process in our locality from time being,and that makes him a grassroot mobiliser,an astute politician,and a core humanitarian fellow. He had headed numerous political offices at the party level,which had tested his capacity and proven trusted with the numerous positions he held in the past which include:

Sunday Onabanjo Sobowale,was the first PDP councillorship candidate,Ward 06 in 1998 but lost out due to PDP/AD syndrome that brought in the Aremo Olusegun Osoba led administration in Ogun State.

Without relenting on his ambition, he was motivated by well wishers to contest for the Chairmanship of Ijebu North Local Government in 2012. But due to some unforseen circumstances,he was appealed to by leaders of the our great party which he heeded to their plea as an obedient servant he has been from time being despite the fact that he his the most popular candidate on ground to win the election then. But in terms of popularity,and mobilising the grass-root for the realisation of his ambition,he has not been seconded to anyone.

He had not because of the happenings in the party over time disown or disengage his loyalty to the party,and most especially his loyalty and believe to the course of our national leader,the Southwest leader of the party and the Distinguished Senator representing the Ogun East Senatorial District,Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu is with great passion.

That was what inspired him to re-contest the Chairmanship election in 2016 but due to the dictatorial attitude of the present APC led administration,the entire good people of Ogun State were robbed of their mandate.

One with God is a majority. Sunday Onabanjo Sobowale has always put his trust in the most High,and has left all battle to the hands of his Creator. A man of high instinct and respectful loyal member of our dear party.
He is happily married with children.
