Despite living in horrible conditions at the various camps, it appears that the sex life of Internally Displaced Persons in Borno State was never affected. A report from The Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) on Monday has it that 3,000 births were recorded among Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the past six months.
According to the SEMA Chairman, Satomi Ahmad, the births were registered at various camps located in the state capital between January and June.
He explained that the birth records showed significant increase in view of the high number of couples staying at the camps.
In His words, “we recorded 3,000 births among IDPs in the last six months. The mothers were supported with drugs and reproductive kits.”
The SEMA boss said the agency was working in collaboration with the state’s Ministry of Health to support expectant mothers and enhance reproductive health management in the camps.
In the midst of reports of severely malnourished Children, there have been series of rumours about sexual exploitations of the IDPs. In some cases, some camp officials were accused of having sex with the women in the camp in exchange for food while other female IDPs were reported to have gone outside the camp for prostitution in order to have money to buy food to eat.

This is wrong! People living in IDP camps don't have any right to have sex and I mean it. You can't be living in pleasure while the govt caters for you feeding, security and general welfare! If your life is no longer at risk, go back home and start rearing children.

I saw them being encouraged by the IDP officials organizing wedding ceremonies for them and I knew we have lost the plot. 3000 births already? Are they breeding like rats? So the children will also be taken care of by govt using tax payers money? Is this what we signed up for? It is said that when purpose is not defined, abuse is inevitable. This is an abuse of IDP's! It is meant to cater for displaced persons; like a temp camp till peace is restored. Now that majority of the areas have been liberated, these lads should be sent home to go and start breeding if that is all they care for.

Govt should quit housing and feeding these lads while they keep breeding on top of themselves!

The big part of story people didn't factor before calling people animals. Anyway it's weird developmentI thought make and females were segregated anyway exception being families. This is odd development needs to die due since resources are tight.
