Osinbanjo will never be allowed to assume full powers because of 2019 elections.

Even though it is glaringly obvious that Osinbanjo will dare not present himself for elections in 2019 as he will lose by a wide margin to other aspirants who definitely will be from the north, the cabal are very cautious of the powers of incumbency which Osinbanjo will wield during any future elections.

The Cabal's main concern is Osinbanjo throwing federal might behind a candidate outside their fold.

This is how Tinubu will likely bounce back and claim credit in installing another President by using Osinbanjo to install a successor come 2019.

Already Tinubu is shopping for a northern candidacy whom is not in favorable terms with the cabal and who also does not have any bad blood for him - this thus rules out Tinubu supporting the likes of Atiku and Sule Lamido.

Tinubu may go all out and throw his weight behind El Rufai which will be satisfactory to the Cabal who see El Rufai as an allly who will protect them from future probes and criminal investigations. However as myopic and greedy Tinubu is, I don't see him trusting El Rufai.

So here lies the real crux behind the games of thrones currently occurring in Aso Rock and why the cabal is pushing for a civilian coup in the Senate to impeach Osinbanjo.

It is either a quiet subtle palace coup or a brutal bloody military coup.

At the end all is not looking good for Osinbanjo and his master, Tinubu

And where they do succeed there is absolutely nothing you afonjas can do.

Osinbanjo is also highly naive and foolish by starting a war with the Senate which the cabal has set him up to blindly charge at.

Osinbanjo needs to play the highest form of political lobbying at the Senate and not to be dragged into a senseless confrontation instigated by the cabal on the Senate.

At the end the Senate is the only body that can impeach buhari and install him as president.

Lawyers have a problem of making every issue to be an argument and Osinbanjo has shown he is no different.
Rather than assume a leadership role, osinbanjo has assumed the position of solicitor to the cabal in their war wit the Senate. What a big shame. This man doesn't know that the cabal is causing unnecessary rift between the Senate and Osinbanjo's office inorder to prevent the Senate from installing him as President. How myopic and naive can this fake pastor be!

Maybe he wanted to please his cabal masters by attacking the Senate's decision to confirm the appointment of an individual whose name was sent to the Senate for confirmation.

Osinbanjo not only ridiculed himself by stating that the Senate lacks the powers to confirm a federal appointee whose name was forwarded by the executive to the same Senate.

So what exactly is the point of Senate confirmations?

Well that aside, Osinbanjo has foolishly placed himself in the forefront in the attack of the Senate by powerful cabal elements who want us to believe that the Senate is the problem and not the clueless corrupt executive branch.

But we must remind Osinbanjo that he has joined forces with elements that have called in the past for Buhari be granted supreme powers and for the constitution to be suspended.

It is from this naive stance and follow-follow position that I now view Osinbanjo as highly foolish in starting a fight with the Senate. Osinbanjo may not know it but he is being setup by the cabal to get into an unnecessary war with the only body that has the powers to install him as President.

Osinbanjo should also be aware that the onus and powers to confirm him as substantive president lies solely with the same Senate he has chosen to reduce their powers with his foolish argument.

You get it Bro. those guys are so daft. What is their gain? They have been crying all these while, trying to plant disunity between President and VP yet they failed. Now they are rejoicing over Senate that is using their destiny to play ludo. Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai is a good choice but why will it take a tinubu to bring him to fore? tinubu and all Southerners should stay far and stop meddling with northern affairs for their own interest. Also it will be a honourable thing if osibanjo bows out early if Buhari is unable to continue, that is. This way, the West will retain a warmth cordial relationship with the North.

While GEJ was making silent deft moves in the Senate through Bala Muhammed to lobby Northern senators to support his installation as acting President, your Afonja last hope is fighting an inexcusable and unnecessary war of words with the Senate.

Afonja since you claimed it was your rabble rousing Street protests that was solely the reason GEJ was installed, pls can you repeat same feat for your own son and install him as King?

GEJ got to be acting President not from fighting the Senate but by a strong lobby group.

But since you liars have a way of self promotion, you still believe that your useless Street marches is what put GEJ in office back in 2009.

I just had to drive in some sense to show you that when (and not if) osinbanjo gets impeached he has only his foolish self to blame.

Plato thought political regimes followed a predictable evolutionary course, from oligarchy to democracy to tyranny. Oligarchies give way to democracies when the elites fail, when they become spoiled, lazy, profligate, and when they develop interests apart from those they rule.

Democracies give way to tyrannies when mob passion overwhelms political wisdom and a populist autocrat seizes the masses. But the tyrant is not quite a tyrant at first. On the contrary, in a democracy the would-be tyrant offers himself as the people’s champion. He’s the ultimate simplifier, the one man who can make everything whole again.

Sound familiar?

Other than Plato's wise council on how a civilized society can find itself a few generations ahead under the vice-grip of a tyrant, the Holy Bible contain a treasure trove of wisdom on how mankind eventually lost their freedoms to their fellow man in the form of hero-worship.

God's original grand plan for man was for man to exist side by side with Him. Then man rebelled and God had to banish Adam and Eve from His presence.

God's overwhelming love for mankind led God to still establish contact with man via heavenly emissaries to those select few He saw worthy of His contact warning and guiding the people through His Prophets of old. We can then safely assume that Theocracy was the first and earliest form of human governance.

Then the temptation of Moses occurred where he gave in to appointing Judges to help deputize God's authority among the Israelites. This marked the Legislative era of corrupt judges.

Groaning under the corruption they had found themselves, the Jews decided that it be wise to appoint a single man among themselves to rule over them and to purge the corruption of the Judges and Priests. The anointing of Saul as King was the beginning of tyranny that the Jews will face for most part of their history.

Despotism thus arises when a given set of people have given up on their own ability to govern themselves and it usually precedes that of a democratized period.

We are witnessing a severe assault on our nascent democracy by surprisingly enough those who are currently within the corridor of power as a result of the same democratic processes.

To these set of charlatans, democracy is merely a means to acquire power and not a suitable form of governance.

To these bunch of tin gods, the very people who elected them into power are to be whipped into line and their concerns and voice gagged.

Surprisingly their gullible zombies are very much in agreement with their assault on democracy and her tenets.

I don't blame Buhari at all for being a despot and a tyrant neither do I blame his hordes of Abacha era cronies and sycophants that have been transplanted from their state of hibernation into the corridors of Aso Rock. Rather I lay the blame squarely on the myopic, slavish and gullible morons who voted and still champion this despot as the best thing since slice bread.

But what is so amazing concerning the likes of Osinbanjo the manservant is how slavish he is to the point that he refuses to assume the leadership role he has been bestowed with but rather prefers to play the devil's advocate to a bunch of unelected bureaucrats that are at the forefront to unseat him.

How much of a zombie and slave is this afonja?

Not one single afonja has disputed all the facts presented here by the OP but rather you have chosen the path of pouring your frustrations on IPOB and Biafran seccession.

God forbid, if anything happens to PMB, VP Osinbajo will be president (when you be become the C-in-C, a lot of things automatically change, power dynamics and allegiances re-calibrate), and if he steers the country right, he will contest in 2019 and win.

P.S. 2019 is still far, a lot will still happen between now and then. We can all have our 'little' opinions and wishes though. #fingerscrossed
