Am getting more confused by the legalities and frameworks of this recall oh.today on channels tv,a lawyer john tsohi said that the status quo meant that inec had been restrained from continuing the recall process.later, senator ike ekweremadu said that an anendment was made in 2010 to the recall clause which now stipulates that during the verification process, the signatories to the recall document would line up somewhere in the lwemwker's constituency and the lawmaker and his team of lawyers would physicay verify the voters one by one.again,he added that after the verification and referendum is concluded, they would still have to be heavily scrutinized by the senate.that was what informed of him saying that the recall is dead on arrival and that the governor is wasting his time and money.this means thar the recall power is no more in the hands of the people but with the legislature.i weep for nigeria but up apc

It is mischievous saying court failed to stop Dino's recall. What is the legal meaning of status quo should be maintained. It means INEC should stop all actions on his recall, if INEC should take any further step, Dino will go back to the court for further interpretation.
Although, Dino is from my Senatorial district and I hate some of his childish acts in the hallowed chamber. Imagine a distinguished Senator threatened to beat his colleague, waring academic gown to house to show he is a graduate, uploading pictures of his car fleet on social media acting like an entertainer. It is a slap on our face.
The question begging for answer is why can't Gov. Bello wait till 2019 and deny him ticket instead of spearheading Dino's recall. It is obvious he is on a revenge mission because Dino criticised him for owing workers salary for 16 months. Gov. Bello should have acted like El-Rufai how he is handling Senator Shehu Sanni.

He had to do that to create unnecessary awareness. He's a goner already. It will be live on arrival at the senate floor, watch out.

Abeg what is status quo? Status quo is that senator Dino is a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria

In these scenario, The status quo means the recall process should go on.. Dino Melaye approach court to stop his recall and the court fail to stop it instead ask for status quo to be maintained..
