I actually have a similar PV:battery bank ratio. Yes, I run two deep freezers and a fridge on mine during the day, asides other stuff like washing machines. The CC should handle the max current deliverable with ease. Mine is a Midnite coupled with a WizBang Jr.
For fear of overhyping the combo, you can limit charge current and determine end-amps (charging no longer terminated by time lapse).

Night-time loads peak around 200W and average about 150W (some LED lights of 3W - 5W, a 47" LED LG TV around 35W, an occasional 32" TV during football season/holidays and 2 ceiling fans of 25W). At bedtime, TVs and most lights go off, an extra fan or two might come on so loads stay roughly the same. Security lights are automated DC and powered by a different bank/PV array. Night-time inverter is 48V 375VA and has a self-consumption of 9W.
The key is in minimizing consumption. Currently eyeing JUO's DC fans for an even more efficient system.

Anyway, no well-meaning SCC should kill batteries simply because you're overcompensated on PV array size.

Yes, and they've refused to replicate the feat (much less make higher capacity versions) over the years despite the huge fan-base requesting for it. Makes me think it's a difficult feat indeed, seeing few have attempted even cloning it. Victron and Magnum come pretty close and have higher capacities with incredibly low self-consumption. I have 2 Victron inverters in use now and I have no regrets. (There's a smaller new-still-in-the-box and another used a few months now kept in the store).

Everything they make is great and open-ended. Too bad the CC couldn't trump my Midnite Classic+WizBang Jr. combo thus my setup is incomplete. Maybe someday in the future when I reconsider ESS (as recommended by Pranil) ....

I just launched and installed a hybrid Must PV1800 VHM 24v 80A MPPT inverter with Wifi RTU (remote monitoring) to relief my giant Bluegate 2kva inverter after serving tirelessly for 7years without a break and my Itracer 60A MPPT charge controller.
i resulted to this when i couldn't figure out remote monitoring on my itracer with Raspi.
Presently i have moved my 2400w panels on Must inverter to see how it works...
i noticed the inverter doesn't display SOC/DOD, data log unlike Itracer.
i will give more review as times goes on.

4 GBM batteries 12v 200ah with a Mercury 2.4kva inverter.

Load is not much, energy saving bulbs and led light. 3 standing Fans that are 33W each, no laptop connected. 52inches led Tv, decoder and sound system. That's all.

It was very ok when it was first of all installed. Could go the whole day then suddenly it wasn't even lasting 5hours. Now it barely reaches 2hours on those load . All this happened within the range of four months..

I honestly dont even know if it's the inverter that did the damage to the battery.

More likely the batteries were far out of sync with each other at the original installation.

Your Mercury 2.4Kva is 24v nominal yes? You may want to see if you could still salvage 2 decent batteries from the bank although chances aren't looking good with what you described.

Your loads do not seem excessive for 4 batteries - you should confirm if your inverter is charging properly and if you were allowing sufficient time for a full charge on a regular basis e.g if you ran off batteries for the whole day and drained them 80%, the mercury inverter putting out a max 20A charging current would need about 20 hours to bring the batteries back to full charge - if you were not getting PHCN mains power for 20 hours, I am pretty sure you were not running your Gen for 20 hours at a stretch or whatever length of time was required to recharge the batteries fully.

Thus the batteries which were average quality at best were killed fairly quickly with deficit charging - this is one plausible explanation for what you have experienced.

You may also want to incorporate a battery balancer with your next purchase.

Power is really not a problem as we get a minimum of 18hours daily over here unless there is a general problem which sometimes could last for about 3days.

I feel the inverter is the problem. The inverter indicates a full bar which is 4 but once one bar drops, it starts to read low battery even on 3 bar and minutes after 2bar, 1bar and it goes off.

Also a technician came to check the batteries and about two of them are already reading weak. The remaining two reading medium not the green light.

First of all, the inverter looks great and performing wonderfully okay. here are my few observations on the inverter for now:

- The power changeover is quite fast without a blink except for a beep and a click sound unlike my old Bluegate which blinks and beeps for a while.
- Its charge controller has limiting current which limit the charging rate, i guess according to battery voltage and temperature readings. i am yet to confirm how smart its MPPT function.
- The power input/output ports are not that strong because i broke the live output terminal when connecting it when it was too tight, so i interchange it with the ground terminal.
- i notice the inverter doesnt get SOC/DOD function
- There is little current leakage when i touch the inverter, i guess it is because i dont connect the ground.
- The Wifi rtu i got with the inverter is not working to my satisfaction because its going online and offline. i dont know if it is the inverter or the Wifi rtu that is causing the issue. I wont recommend it anyway cos it is better to go through alternative way to monitor your system.
- I notice when the load is below 25w it switches to power saver and trip off and on again.
- I noticed the float fluctuate btw 27.0v-27.4v eventhough i set it to 27.6v, i guess its temperature compensation though.
- The worst part of all is that, i connected it to PC but it doesn't log anything on the data settings, with i can check any history so far, i suspect its firmware issue.
I am thinking of returning the WIfi Rtu if possible and get a refund and settle for Rpi solution
That is all i notice for now.
Any advice to get the data log properly on PC and monitor remotely will be appreciated.
