When ever the following are used in Nigeria's media [see below], I think the true meaning are next to each phrases. "reputable resources" = Baseless story "We have the proof" = Hearsay "Authoritative sources" = Some random people who offers 3rd rate information that maybe or not at all correct. "Eyewitness account" = Take it with a pinch of salt, after all Nigerians are known to exaggerate a lot. |
