I'm a designer and would like to make cool drop down menus like what they have on  that site. Need help learning it.

dynamic drive. That menu is best developed with a framework like jQuery, MooTools, Ext or any other library.

All those are good places to get menus that use Javascript i.e jquery, mootools, scriptaculous and the lot.
