YES! Something is wrong. Acts 7: 51.... Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost:.... Growing up as a child I used to believe that people who tend to fall under anointing in church services, fellowships and christian gatherings were possessed of demons and are "witches". As such, whenever hands were laid on me, I purposely stood still and strong even when I felt the power transmitted. Sometimes, even when worshiping in songs or fellowshiping alone I experience such presence and yet refuse to give in.... until I was thought and read the above scripture. The truth is, you that is resisting the power of the Holy spirit is the real "witch" because it is rebellion. !Sam 15:23, for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Also Read Deut 31:27. Let your mind be stayed on Him. Refuse distraction and give in when you experience power, you will experience the power of the anointing and it is a wonderful sign of submission. |

its not compulsory to fall under the power. But I pity the OP who thinks that there is nothing special about a pastor laying hands on him. the purpose of those hands is to impart certain gifts on the person and not to fall. Falling is only a manifestation that u gave urself over to the Holyghost at that moment that he takes over ur body. I cant stand for all pastors on this but I am talking about the truly annointed ones |

zionmade: I think it is good we try to always read posts carefully if we intend to respond and also endeavor to respond using scriptures so other readers can learn from our posts since it is religious discussion. I don't think that the op says that there's nothing special about laying of hands, neither did he say it is compulsory to fall. He only wanted to know what was wrong with him if anyone thinks something is wrong. Also, in my opinion, if it is God who called a person to be a Pastor, he anoints the person. If a follower is submitted to a particular pastor's ministration and has tested his Spirit as the scripture admonishes, it means that he believes the pastor is anointed. For the op to have been under that pastor's ministration, he probably believes the pastor is truly anointed to be his pastor and as such should be submitted to his pastor and not allow any distractions. That also does not mean that every time he is ministered to he must fall, that is supposed to be a sign as you said, of a spiritual connection between the receiver and God. It shouldn't be a carnal display. Regards |
