Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee, I am having a big problem with my pc, bios setup has been passworded, i tried reseting the password, first of all, i removed the cmos battery for about 5 hours, the password is still there, then i removed the jumper, unfortunately, its still there, pls comp gurus how do i reset the password, once and for all.

u dont need to reset ur BIOS if all you wanna do is add another hard drive & dvd writer. all u have to do is slave them to the original ones.
if u already have a hard drive, then connect the new one to the old ones (remove the jumper entirely to make it a slave to the old one)
then do the same for the dvd writer but have it in mind that for this to work, u must be using both the primary & secondary ports on ur motherboard

@oxone the suggestion u have made is quite good but bear it in mind that if the bIOS did not detect both the hard drive and Dvd writer, there is no way the system can communicate with it.the best is to make sure that the bios detect it .try use some software to remove the passworded bios

D bios wil automatically detect it whether passworded or not

my friend not all bios does that it depend on the manufacturer, there are some that detect automatically and there are some u have to manually press a particular key on the keyboard like f3 or something but like i noted initially it all depend on the bios maker what they have programmed.
