I had to create another account for this I have to be discrete for security purposes, and also brief Now, a brief info about myself I'm a male, in my early 20s, a graduate, but I haven't gone for NYSC , I know a thing or two about computer/IT stuff, I don't regard myself as a computer geek, guru or nerd, but I know a great deal about Information Technology. It all started in 2011, I was in year 1 then, always glued to my laptop, trying to learn something new, I downloaded tons of video tutorials on hardware repairs, troubleshooting tools, hacking tools like Nmap, Nessus and Winzappe programming, database development and administration etc, before all this (while I was waiting for admission) I did programs in Java like Microsoft (MCSD), I also did computer appreciation, software installation etc With time, some People in my lodge got to know that I knew my way around Computers, so anytime someone had issues with his/her laptop I usually help out (FREE OF CHARGE) this is were my trouble started. One day, I was approached by some guys I haven't met before in my life, the said I should help them and extract some kind of files from a mail box, actually that was my first time of doing this, except in tutorials. I knew something was fishy, because that was not the type of thing I usually do for people. So I told them, that I wasn't going to do it, the offered to pay me 20K, I was shocked, that confirmed my suspicion, I immediately knew it was an illegal thing, this is where the devil or will I say my greed took hold of me, all my family trainings, morality and gospel messages left me. I was just pondering within me, the implications of what I was about to do, and also thinking about the 20k. Truth be told, I didn't actually need the money desperately, but we know how it is, many thoughts started arising in my head on what to do with the money My parents are very strict and Religious people, I grew up in fear and discipline, my parents were not poor, but weren't rich either, we were just managing, family of 4, I'm the 3rd. I finally agreed to do the work, but I asked for an increment, I can't remember the exact amount again, but it was within the range of 20-30k. I extracted the files, then I was paid. This was the first time I was getting that amount of money in my life, just in a single day, this occasion changed my mind set. I always knew IT was lucrative, but I never really thought of it, in my life. Before I knew it, some other people came to me for similar issues, just like that, small small, I became an illegal person, because I knew what I was doing is against the law and humanity, but there was this zeal to continue probably due to the money I was getting. I discovered that I wasn't getting a enough payment for my work, I started demanding for me. Over night, I became a big boy, I bought generator, home theater, good clothes.etc I wasn't really into Girlfriend's then, I didn't have such time, anytime I was hornny, I usually contact some girls whose relationship with me, was strictly Sex and money. My school was far away from my parents house, so I rarely visit home, like once a month or once in 2 months. Any time, I go home, I usually buy lots things for my parents, like bread, beverages etc, the questioned my source of income, I told them I do computer tutorials in school and the are paying more, that students usually register with money, the easily believed me, because after all my first computer training were paid by them, and the always knew that I had a thing for computer. We were a family of 4, my parents and 4 children. I had 1 elder brother, 1 elder sister and 1 younger sister. 2 boys, 2 girls. Going back to school, my second year was rough, in the course of my activities I had some clash of interest with some Cultists, I had 2 relocate, I went to another lodge and location. I decided to quit helping fraudulent people, because I never knew it could get this worse. I kept a low profile, stopped picking unnecessary calls, minding my business nd living a decent life, inversely my grades picked up, I made an outstanding CGPA that year. Going to my 3rd year, I discovered that many of those people I used to help, have now bought cars nd Ballin everywhere. I was a bit sad but it didn't really bother me. I'm just trying to be brief, so I can't go into all details.. In due course, I resumed doing the fraudulent activities, now this was on a different scale, I met some other group of people, who were more criminally minded and experienced in the game. So I was recruited by them as their IT specialist. I'm not exonerating myself, but my work was not really Yahoo Yahoo, or obtaining anything by false pretense, this were the work of this boys, my work was strictly IT issues, technical support, I didn't personally contact or defraud anyone per se, I just created an enabling environment through technology for this guys to make money. The did the major work, the stayed up late at night, the did the profiling. In no distant time, we picked money. Loads of it. I was given my percentage The next thing on my mind was to buy a Car, but I was worried, because how will I explain to my parents that I bought a car. I ignored all this thought, and still bought a car, but anytime I'm going home, I use Public transport, I was living a double life. Financial challenges came up at home, I told them not to worry about my school fees anymore, but my Dad being an egoistic man, said I'm talking nonsense, how much do I think I have, he didn't know I was richer than him. My money was almost useless at home, because I couldn't use it to do anything very useful, without generating questions from my parents. I was waiting for the right opportunity to present itself, it finally did, my parents traveled to the village for a long time for some activities, immediately I got painter to paint the whole house, I did some repairs in the compound and even dug a borehole, my elder sister was mad at me, asking me how I got such amount of money. I have already made up a story of how I won an international scholarship, so I told her, she didn't believe me, she said I was lying, she was so opposed to the projects I was doing in the house, I felt she was jealous Cont'd |

My Elder sister had already put a call across to my parents, telling them I'm spending money recklessly. My parents were calling me on my phone, I didn't pick up. Immediately the work was completed in my Father's house, I ran back to school. So I won't face my parents wrath and anger when the come back. You won't blame me for doing this things in my house, I couldn't stand there while my family was living in a old house, going about asking for water, when I had money that could solve all that. The worst I needed was for my parents to come to my school, so I summoned Courage and went home. I came with a lot of fake documents about one kind of international scholarship I have gotten etc. And how the money I used was part of the grant I received. See my people, information technology is very powerful, it can do some crazy things you wouldn't imagine. I hear some people say all Yahoo boys are doing Juju, I just laugh out loud, because the are very ignorant. I won't deny that some people actually do some diabolical things to pick money, but certainly not the majority I know. This online fraud is just being smart, criminally minded and knowledgeable, no voodoo involved, I have never visited any shrine or babalawo My Juju is just my laptop, some IT tools and network connection. But getting the knowledge and being able to apply it, that's where the issue is, many people are more knowledgeable than me in this computer things, it's not as if the are holy or upright, the fact is that the don't really know how to apply their knowledge in things like this. I wasn't like a typical Yahoo boy, I'm cool headed. I dress well, no tattoos or crazy hairstyle. I don't really follow them to outings, I made sure many of them did not know my lodge. I was smart enough to avoid attention to myself, my only sellout was my Car and room. I had everything in my room, including AC. Lots of girls were trying to come close to me, but I wasn't really a love person, my orientation was just Sex, I wasn't ready to start taking care of any girl or troubling myself about any girl. I felt I was comfortable and can have sex anytime I wanted, so I didn't need any commitment or drama in my life. I was also doing a small business, I will Keep out the details, due to security and anonymity reasons, the business was quite lucrative, because I was looking for ways to clean my money, at least people can point to business I own when the start questioning my source of money. I have lots of crazy western orientation, on IRS, Tax officials etc, all this things made me think crazy and smart. Even though, I knew it didn't really apply in Nigeria I watched a season film then, Breaking Bad, that film influenced me negatively, I regret watching that film till date. 2 Likes |

Another Job came up, I was contacted, this time it was in an entirely different state, I spent close to 5 months there, I missed a whole semester of my schooling, my school is kind of strict, though you can sort your way, but it's not actually easy to completely sort your way through out a whole semester, because some Lecturers don't accept anything, so it's risky, even using people to write the exam is very risky. My percentage this time was so much, because I did most the work, the money I got can't be gotten by any level of civil servant in 30 years, unless the civil servant is dubious and corrupt. 1 Like |

The next thing on my mind was investment, and quitting the game. Because, I believed I won't be needing any money in my life again, I was ready to call it quit. I bought some lands in my village, bought another 1 near my school, to build a hostel. Through my someone, I got to know about Shares, I invested heavily in shares, to be receiving dividend warrant. I used proxy to build a house in my village, because I couldn't let my parents know that I had such money, my life was so secretive at home, this time I rarely visit my parents, like once in 6 months. I came up with a plan to tell them how I got money, I was like Bet9ja, I said no, because if I'm to win a large amount of money on Bet9ja, I will likely be televised, and I couldn't pull that off, given my dad's level of enlightenment. So I said whether I could hack Bet9ja and give myself some kind of winning, I had to learn the algorithm and sequencing of virtual games, but I couldn't easily manipulate it to get am expected win. My people believe me, it's not easy to bring up a story on how you just got some huge amounts of money |

But let me try and tell you my own two cents... First of all you are an empty person inside and that is why you feel the need to share this info.. I know because i was once in your shoes and the world was at my feet but there was nothing i had that could fill the emptiness.. Because you deep inside know you are living a fake life and you have to keep up the lies so as not to be suspociois. I thought of many things, because the money I had could no longer be kept silent in my family, I needed to contribute meaningfully. I wanted to fly my Mother overseas for medical care, so I manipulated a popular NGOs website, and created an event, about available grants/sponsorship that will be giving to people with a type of medical problem my mom had. So after a while, I came back and said my mom's application was successful, see dancing, praises and Thanksgiving. My Elder sister with her big mouth went and told her friends about it and the NGO, her inquisitive friend made an inquiry to the NGO, it came out false My sister confronted me about this, I told her that her friend is confused, and doesn't know what she is doing or saying. Long story short, my mom traveled abroad for treatment, I did the all the payments by proxy, the Embassy didn't even know.
