I dont know why we have this mentality of oh no dont recruit outsiders to be your manager or to look afer your business. rather we prefer to put a family friend brother or sister. i dont know why we have that mentality this is common among nigerians i am a nigeria myself and i know what am talking about. we do our things totally different i personally i think this are things we need to address as an individual and make some changes. no wonder we have low unemployment rate. nigerians we need to change our attitude. I'm not a business so dont think am posting this on my behalf because i know what's we spring to your mind when reading this. simply leave your comment and lets be interactive. no insult or nonsense |

How is this romantic? But at your question- charity starts at home, if a well trained son can handle his fathers business then why not If not, then the owner of the company must want the company to crash and burn. If it pains you so much, make your own business, it doesnt just happen in Nigeria. |

It's not naija mentality. It happens everywhere in the world, especially in countries in Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Even Europe. You have a few exceptions in the US, but you There are two reasons. Number one is trust. Number two is legacy. Your family members are likely to be trusted more than outsiders. Not always the case, but at least, you know them. You are also more likely to get their buy-in, as per preserving your legacy after you're gone. Outsiders will not. I don't necessarily agree that this is the way to go, but that is the way it is. |
