A coalition of Christian groups from the 19 northern states and Abuja, under the aegis of the Patriotic Christian Front has accused the Federal Government of showing ‘special interest’ in the criminal activities of Fulani herdsmen in Taraba State.

They faulted the role allegedly played by the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazau, after the attacks in Taraba State and accused him of pursuing an Islamic agenda.

The Christian group called on President Muhammadu Buhari to, as a matter of urgency, relieve the minister of his appointment.

Addressing a press conference in Kaduna on Wednesday, PCF National President, Timothy Nasso, also alleged that the Buhari-led government was out to destabilise the state because Governor Darius Ishaku is the only “Christian governor from the North-East.”

Nasso argued that any attempt to intimidate, harass or cow the state governor simply because of his religious inclination would be resisted by Christians from the northern part of the country.

They alleged that the Federal Government deployment of high-powered delegation to the state was an indication that it had a special interest in Taraba State.

Nasso said, “The sudden interest which the Federal Government showed by immediately deploying the Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahaman Danbazau (retd); Minister of Women Affairs, Senator Jumai A’isha Alhassan; the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; the General Officer Commanding 3rd Amoured Division, Maj. Gen. Benjamin Ahanato; and Senator Yusuf from Taraba Central Senatorial zone is an indication of government’s vested interest in the Taraba crisis.”

immediately the news came in that some militias from mambilla who had mobilise to defend there native land against the fulanis had gained upper hands.
The federal government quickly sent troops to the place, drafted fighter jets to the zone and moved the service chiefs to Taraba....all this is for what?because all mighty and untouchable fulanis has been killed but all over Nigeria they fulani herdsmen leave a trail of blood wherever they visited and they federal govt tells us that they are Malians and nothing meaningful has been done to stop this.
indeed Nigeria is a huge joke. This is why the Nnamdi Kanu's are now heros because government has continued in its policy of Fulanocracy!
