Most universities may use these #UTME 50/50 calculation to help students know their chances of gaining admission into the university. The 50/50 method is common with school that have sittings for post UTME exams. Though ATBU do not sit for a post UTME exams, we encourage you to review the following 50/50 steps and do a self grade with respect to your chances of passing our results and credentials screening exercise. If you fall short of the steps below you should correct them before admission process begins!!!
#STEPS :
Calculate your total score by yourself using the 50-50 system.
Use this system to calculate your O-level aggregate: A1 = 10 points; B2 = 9 points; B3 = 8 points; C4 = 7 points; C5 = 6 points; C6 = 5 points.
Use ONLY the 5 required subjects for your course.
#Grades must be obtained at ONE SITTING.(combining results at different sittings may reduce your chances as other candidate may qualify leaving you behind)
To get your UTME contribution: Divide your UTME score by 8.
Add your UTME contritution and your O-level aggregate. The result is your total score.
Usually, we give priority to candidates who score above the 200 general cutoff scores.
