with the recycling of politicians and refusal of old men to step aside in both the APC and PDP, Nigeria has been unable to move forward or atleast in a progressive pace.

while let's be honest, no one that is or will be around 40 in 2019 will get either the PDP or APC's ticket mainly because no one in that age gap is known to be politically relevant (atleast not on the level of the major bigwigs) enough, we still have able men in their 50s that are socially aware and have nice ideas that could move the country forward.

the 2019 presidential election will be won by either the APC or the PDP unless something unexpected happens. no party is near popular or deep rooted or even rich enough to take it from them.

in the APC, PMB might be running for re-election. if not other politicians like Atiku, Saraki, Tinubu, Kwankwaso will be gunning for the ticket. this party has an advantage of being the ruling party and are still relatively new in power

meanwhile the PDP has ruled for 16 years and are now in opposition. at the start of the Buhari administration, it seemed the PDP was dead forever due to the way the APC was constantly destroying them in the face of the media and the general public, but after 2 years of APC's rule that hasn't met expectations, the PDP is gaining traction again and proving to be a formidable option in 2019.

in the PDP, Sule Lamido, and Fayose are the only ones that have expressed interest in running for the presidency in 2019 so far, but there are rumors that former president Jonathan might also be in the race due to the recent resurgence of his popularity amongst nigerians. another person rumored to be gunning for that post, but isn't making too much noise about it so far is Gov Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State.

while he's a silent worker, he is known to be a very capable and competent man and thanks to that he was able to withstand the wave of the APC northern tuber aspirants who rode to govt on the back of Buhari's popularity in 2015. he is also a man in his early 50s

with the machinery of all the PDP giants behind them, do you think Ibrahim Dankwambo and Peter Obi would be good team for the PDP and the development of Nigeria?
