Lagos redeploys VIO former boss, Toriola, other top officials

The Lagos State Government has redeployed 55 key staff of Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs), including Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO), boss, Gbolahan Toriola, a strategy aimed at achieving effective service delivery.

The redeployment came two months after the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, ordered VIO officers to leave road permanently to prevent persistent gridlock in the state.

Aside key 55 top civil servants officials, the state government also redeployed 128 staff of lower cadre to different MDAs in the state, to prevent concentration of workers in certain MDA.

Redeployment of the 183 staffs was contained in a circular signed recently by Permanent Secretary, Office of Head of Service (HoS), Fiyinfoluwa Ogunbanke, and exclusively obtained by The Guild.
