Good afternoon Car gurus,
You guys should help a brother out. Am loosing my mind over these 2 vehicles.
I am so in love with both the camry 2014 and meecedes c300 4matic.

From my research the camry has good fuel economy, has a unique body design i like, new features, a newer model, not too common on the road. I also read that I will spend less on maintenance for the camry. More spacious interior.

For the mercedes...I read it is a machine. A real beauty. It is a fuel guzzler. A good luxury car. However, I feel it is an old car. I also has little leg space at the back sit. Everyone loves a Mercedes.

I think they are both same price

My specs are:
A unique car
Latest specs
Foreign used
Good fuel economy
Minimal maintenance cost
Luxury car feel
Classy
Minimal mileage
Budget:5million

Please tell me your experiences.
Thanks

1, be very very careful with jiji.com dealers (even a blind man knows wen a war start)
2, it seems u are a jjc with vehicles, so, it's a no brainer to choose Toyota
3) after u have acquainted urself with Toyota and u are conversant with vehicle systems, maintenance and repairs, u can upgrade to Mercedes...
4, Mercedes is sweet, a looker and a performer, driving dynamic too na die, C300 doesn't guzzle fuel wen u compare it to oda similar V6 engines

First advice is to leave jiji. Secondly, those cars aren't the same price. ₦5M will get you a tokunbo (not clean title though) 2014 Camry or a registered 2011 C300. A C300/C350 is NOT a gas guzzler. If you compare it to the Toyota, then maybe yes but trust me, it makes up for all the fun.
As Princetom1 said, since you're not versatile in this, please go for the 2014 Camry. It's very reliable and packs a few good features as standard. With your budget of ₦5m, please use ₦3.5- ₦4m to look for a neatly used one (possibly one bought brand new) or if it was a tokunbo, be sure to do a really good research on the vehicle history. Don't rush into it, take your time. Buying a car is a very big deal. Good luck

Thanks.
I only grabbed pictures from jiji.
I don't intend to buy from there. I will buy myself in lagos.
I have driven cars for some years now. I just haven't bought one before.

Thanks for your advice.

Personally, I'll go for the Camry. It's beautiful, modern and a little easier to maintain. In a perfect world, where the cash and technical know how is available, then the Merc it is. Mercedes is a machine but lack of quality technicians and cost of parts should make anyone on a budget chose the Camry. The Camry is reliable and still relatively new, go for it!

You're welcome. It's your lucky day. Lanpets just posted a Camry for sale. Looks really good. 27k miles on the clock and it was stated "bought brand new" in the ad. Be sure to do a thorough inspection before purchase. Good luck

The Benz is not a fuel guzzler. Leave out those old tales. For better road handling and solid engineering, Benz is it. If I were you and have excess money, then the Benz it is but the Toyota is cool too. I like the overall design of the car
