It is good news we received that the students of Igbonla kidnapped in Epe were released today in Ondo.

This is about the fourth time that a terror attack in Lagos or Ogun have been traced to Ondo. Is anyone on the ground in Ondo doing reconnaisance to determine who is behind the crime and what their objective is? How does Yoruba intend to protect its regional borders from incursion of cross-regional criminals? Security breach is inevitable. At four kidnaps, two of school kids and other two were bloody including intensive air bombardment, this is more than criminal activity...this is military assault and no doubt has the signature of people well rooted in the act of militancy. The task for Yoruba is to protect its borders and secure citizens against rivals interested in discrediting and destroying its society. That task does not start after regionalism takes off and should not launch after an Oduduwa Republic. Yoruba must meet the heat dead-on and with intense response devoid of poliical correctness or sensitivity for any civil convention and rules of engagement. The ambition to run a regional government or an independent sovereignty must run in tandem with the ambition to secure and protect that sovereignty. Readiness for a regional government needs to be measured by how well we deter and block external assault into our territory. So far our readiness is very poor!
