Manchester United is close to signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, for a fee around £40.4million. Jose Mourinho has refused to end his interest in the Croatia winger, even with the Serie A side proving difficult to negotiate with. The Red Devils had initially hoped to use Inter’s desperation to meet Financial Fair Play (FFP) commitments, in order to land the 28-year-old for a fee of around £26.4m, But the Nerazzurri were able to raise the funds elsewhere and United lost their leverage. Both clubs have now reached an agreement and the player is set to undergo medicals with the Premier League club.
