You are wrong mister, there was never a time it was Anambara. Anambra as a nomenclature was derived from Omambala river(A big river that traverses the state) and thereafter anglicised to Anambra.

Omambala=Anambra

but it is pronounced as anambara....if you stay in the east you'll know what i'm saying

It is actually Anambara in Igbo language. The state was named from the river Omambara.
