If i make a rounded colored rectangle in fireworks and i transfer it to dreamweaver, it carries a white background at the rounded corners in dreamweaver, pls how do i avoid this mess?

Set your canvas background to "Transparent" and save your finished graphic design in fireworks as PNG.

refer to it in html like so:
<img src="<path to image>/image.png" />

or css as
background:url(<path to image>/image.png) no-repeat;

Hey bro just set the background as transparent, when ur thru go 2 d file menu, click on export preview if ur using DreanW 8 then on the combo box choose png32, then export, It removes those whitish bg, remember Internet explorer 6 does not support that bt works on other web browsers,
