Earier Yesterday i saw an update here www.nairaland.com/3974320/n10000-prize-unn-best-graduating on Nairaland that got me, so i decided to Follow it up.

This is what they posted on their Official Facebook page about an hour ago

'The picture and the award it depicts, which has been trending in the social media, has nothing to do with the University of Nigeria as an institution. This is a case of members of students' association honouring one of their own with the token they could afford. The name of the association - University of Nigeria Medical Students Association - is written on the dummy cheque.

The University of Nigeria has a tradition of rewarding its best graduating students at the Award and Prize Night usually held at the eve of its convocations. The awards are presented by the Vice-Chancellornot by a student as depicted in the picture.

The general public are advised to read the content of the dummy cheque very well before making their comments and comparisons.'

First, it was GT bank who dissociated themselves from the cheque, now it's UNN, next it'll be the UNN medical students association dissociating themselves. I wonder who they'll now pass the buck to this time around.

you guys will just talk funny sometimes. do you know the Association set aside money from dues paid by fellow students to reward her.do you know how much do the students pay for dues? do you know they owe her nothing? In fact, they should be applauded for sparing some cash from fellow students' due to pay her.
