It was yet another glorious day at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, Plateau State yesterday as the darling team of the state, Plateau United took another bold step in their quest to win the Nigerian Professional Football League title for the very first time in the history of the club.

The team did this in grand style as they defeated their closest rivals on the League Table, the MFM Football Club of Lagos by a solitary but very important goal to remain at the top of the NPFL Table as at Match Day 34.

Plateau United now has 62 points while MFM has 56. That gives the Jos Gote Boys a solid cushion of 6 points with just 4 games to go in the the League.

If all goes well and according to plan, their last match at the Rwang Pam Stadium in the current season will be one of celebration of the title win. Their next match will be away to ABS next Wednesday and the celebrations may just start in advance at the end of that match.
