THE HEAD IS DEAD

You better be careful when you tell 'em
"The Head is Dead"
'Cause RIP(Rest In Peace) can also be said
'Remain In Power' and stay fame

There are somethings you'd like to say
But for fear, you keep shut,
But, why keep shut?
when it's burning you everyday

They said 'e took a lift for a checkup
Many days, we still waiting for a Return
Tell 'im, come back, many things 're undone
The poor boys has nothing left in their cup'

They told us, "Go to school"
"Stop Roaming about on street' "
We went, learnt to write and Read,
Came back, still searching for a Job to do

It hurts, rememb'ring those sleepless nights
We starved, saving for School's sake
we starved, saving for Academic's sake
In dark, we never quenched our lamp lights

And now, we're down, instead of Top
From no other, but our Selected
What can we do? they're our Elected
We Protested, but was forced to Stop

Ambassadors of Poverty, thats what they are
Their Heads kept abroad, but Anus at Home
With their Rott'n teeth, only shining for bone
And their d'rty mouths, only neat at bar

Yes, we fear them for their Superiority
We shut our mouth' for the Truth to tell itself
We b'came fools for 'em to wisen themselve'
But they never did, They're Men of Authority

But, better becareful, when u say
"The Head is Dead"
'cause RIP(Rest In Peace) can also be said
as 'Remain In Power' and Continue to Stay.


I wrote this poem when Rumors was all round that The President of Nigeria, Alhaji Muhamadu Buhari is dead.
I dont know if this poem brings any kind of Criticism, and am not writing it to criticise any personnel, but as we all know, The Truth must be Told.

I again plead with the Admin of this Forum to help me Publish this Poem and put my Name on it (Wisdom Augustine Peter), i want it to reach a wider stage. Thank you for helping me do so.
