Ogbulafor ill in Saudi Arabia, flown to India for treatment

Indications emerged yesterday that the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Vincent Ogbulafor is ill and receiving medical attention in India.

Sources in the party said Ogbulafor fell ill in Saudi Arabia, after a failed attempt by him and two other members of the national working committee of the PDP to see ailing President Umaru Yar’adua.

Ogbulafor, it was gathered, thereafter made a detour to India to see his doctors in a hospital where he has allegedly been an out-patient for the past few years because of his diabetic condition and eye problem.

The PDP national chairman is said to have delayed his medical trip to India because of the political impasse in the country caused by the prolonged absence of President Yar’adua from Nigeria.

When contacted, an aide to the national chairman denied knowledge of Ogbulafor’s whereabouts, saying he was not aware of his boss visit to India for medical attention.

Signals about Ogbulafor’s medical condition emerged last Wednesday when the PDP national working committee hosted the leadership of the National Assembly, led by Deputy President of the Senate Ike Ekwremadu after the lawmakers passed a resolution elevating former Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan to acting president pending the return of President Yar’adua.

At the event, after speaking ex-tempore, Ogbulafor said that he had a prepared speech but rather than read it, he invited the PDP national secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, to do so on his behalf.

Whenever the PDP national chairman attempts to read written speeches at party meetings, he blunders through the text and his aides on many occasions have had to come to his aid by reading to him parts of the speech that he had misread or omitted outright.

How I wished everyone one of them will be sick, and all of them lodged in Nigerian hospitals. Let them see the current conditions of our hospitals , instead of still flying about with our monies, and still paying hospital bills with our taxes.

God, please, as many as these politicians who have refused to improve our standards of living in nigeria and will run to abroad over headaches with our funds, let them all come back as cargo.

does it matter where they die? if indians, saudis, americans, germans etc do die, why running to them when you are sick.
there shld be a law banning all these criminals from going abroad for medical reasons.
i am happy that obj's wife died in spain and ibb's wife died in usa with yar adua likely to bow out in saudi so there is no hiding place for these criminals who have murdered sleep.

Did he fall ill out of sympathy or is d Yar'Adua sickness contagious? Quite a pity tho. Wish him well. Why didn't they fly him home? PDP has started to reap from their many atrocities of not delivering good governance.

I thought the guy travelled for his anuual leave. Hope his bills will be added to already incured Yaradu'a bills.

and two, will renounce or not acquire foreign citizenship.

This is a very good suggestion, that should be enshrined in our constitution. If only powers that be, will permit.

Have they not already? Today, the The Federal legislators voted down the issues relating to review of the 1999 constitution. Is that a sign of good thing to come? .

Why won't he develop cancer of the eye when his eyes condones the evil perpetrated by the PDP cabal.




The annoying thing about him is that his nose is big enough to cause poor Nigerians artificial asphyxiation because of the volume of oxygen he inhales per minute. Very soon, we will start suffering from shortage of oxygen because we allowed these criminals to continue fermenting our fresh air with their putrid exhalations. Moda-foccer!!!
