And we never thanked them! Their efforts dismantled the global racist colonial structure. After their defeat many Jap army guys stayed behind in SEA to help the Viets and Indonesians fight the returning colonialist. Before that at the League of Nations they tried to outlaw racism but the attempt was defeated with a typical Oyinbo trick:
Still, the Japanese delegates insisted there be a vote. Wilson then made the last-minute, unprecedented decision that the vote had to be unanimous, and only positive votes would be registered

They also funded many US blacks fighting racism.
Dai Nihon Turen Seinen Renmei, the Great Japanese Turan Youth League in Tokyo with black Americans. Not many, even black scholars know of Japanese links with black America during this era. The FBI estimated over a 100 k+ pro Japanese black Americans.
How many black Americans know of this?

In fact Booker T Washington,Marcus Garvey and WEB du Bois strongly identified with Jap anti racist efforts. After they lost WW2 many ex IJA guys stayed behind in SEA to assist the indig Viets and Indonesians fight the returning Colonialist!

In Quang Ngai, a Viet Minh officers' school had six Japanese officers on the faculty; in southern Trung Bo province, 36 out of 50 military instructors were Japanese......"One of the results of the Japanese presence in the Viet Minh army was an increase in French losses at the beginning of the war," Goscha writes. During the first battles in the north, Japanese soldiers served in the front lines. In Hue in 1947, the French reported battling a Japanese assault force of 150 men. Also in 1947, Colonel Ishii helped set up an ambush that killed upwards of 70 French soldiers.

Yes,all true! This world isn't the way it seems. They did more than the UN,Oprah,Desmond Tutu,Mother Teresa and Lady Di combined to make the world better. When we think of forces for change we see this byatches narrow arse-how annoying!

Yes,that was at a time the western world didn't see Japan as an equal. They referred to the Japanese then as "yellow skins" and had no respect for even the Japanese-Americans. Many of them were corralled into reserves in the USA like animals during 2nd world war. Japan's stance towards Africans changed after the West began to give it the respect it deserved and to view it as an equal.

@ kikuyu1 Which kain inferiority complex be this, Japan was trying to end racism towards them and being called yellow, to gain more support they had to seek support from Americans who were being victims of racism. If you think you are with Japan just go to Japan you go see racism before your face, china is a bit less, they both have no law or means for deterring or reducing racism towards blacks or others , Japan is not welcoming to immigrants and people of color.
They bleach away their yellow colour even their neighbor India is bleaching, you think Nigerians are using bleaching creams when you go to SEA its a booming business its like brush your teeth routine, India no longer display their dark skinned population on tv or movies, the remaining ones are bleaching aggressively, haven't you seen racist remarks to one of Japan's best tennis players Naomi Osaka, whom they told that it looks like she stayed too long in the sun that she needs to whiten. I know several black japanese in my area, i wonder why dey don't like going back

Leave the kikuyu guy. He doesn't know much except what he searches for online.

I still think Osaka should have competed for USA or her father's country of origin instead of Japan.
Japan and China are serious racist country. Look at what China is doing to the Uyghurs in China.

Boy, your story is full of suspense. Which Japan and League of Nations were you talking about?
