Hurricane Harvey hits Texas Coast on Friday, with heavy rain and introducing a powerful wind and this is the first storm to hit the US mainland since 12 years.

A major US oil industry hub, near Corpus Christi known as town of Rockport, sustained winds of 130 miles per hour (215 kilometers per hour), referred to as a category Four Hurricane on the five-level storm scale.

National Hurricane Center said, “Hours later the storm made a second landfall in the Northern part of Rockport as a category three hurricane, winds of 125 mph.

“The category two storm, traveled inland over south Texas as Harvey lost strength, with winds of 100 mph and reduced to a Category one Hurricane with winds of 90 mph at 1000 GMT.
