The lingering leadership division rocking the Actors Guild of Nigeria at the National level finally came has come to an end as the two biggest rivals, Ibinabo Fiberesima and Emeka Ike finally reconciled their age long differences.

Addressing the media at the weekend, both Ibinabo and Emeka said that the peace was now very necessary as their division has stagnated the Guild and it has also rubbed off on the nation’s movie Industry. “The division was not about her, Ibinabo but about the BOT of the Guild whose tenure has longed expired and has refused to allow fresh ideas and innovations and I said NO, because Nollywood is a global phenomenon and the idea of life BOT will not just work. As you know this agitation has cost me a lot but today because of the youths I have embraced peace so we can build the future generation together. This RECONCILIATION is for the young Actors in Nollywood. Emeka Ike said.

In her response, Ibinabo Fiberesima said that the immediate plan now is to take out my appeal for the court and call a proper joint congress of both factions where the process to conduct a national free, fair and transparent election that will herald a new dawn in Actors Guild of Nigeria – National will begin. “Today is one of the happiest days of my life because we can now say PEACE AT LAST in AGN. Our members should be allowed to choose their leaders in a peaceful manner and by tricks and ambushing. This division has not helped us in any way. I thank Emeka Ike who has mas made this day possible. An elated Ibinabo said.

Asked to comment on a purported peace and reconciliation conference in Enugu state which produced a Government of National Unity, Emeka Ike said “What happened in Enugu was a group of desperate individuals who tried to ambush the peace process. The same BOT who thinks they can run the biggest Guild in Nollywood like a motor park Association. The question you should ask them is; was Ibinabo in Enugu? If she was not there how many of her state chairmen were there and how many of my state Chairmen were there? Who was the AGNEC chairman? How much was the presidential form? Can we see the ballot papers? Can you shave a man’s hair in his absence? How can you say Government of National Unity when Ibinabo is still in Appeal Court? Do they know the legal implications of what they are saying? Contempt of court is still a very serious offence the last time I checked. The media and the general public should disregard such sinister misinformation because what happened in Enugu is not only acts of notoriety and perfidy but a futile and crude power grab and we completely dissociate ourselves from it. How to make good leaders in Africa- Political office holders are always sworn into office by the Bible if a christian, Koran if a muslim and affirmation if a pagan. Can u imagine the extent of hypogracy! If u ask an average christian (e.g our vice president)to swear by the bible to convince u, he will say the bible forbid him from doing that but when he want to occupy political office, he will never remember that he is forbidden from swearing. This mere boooks should be taken away from our oath system since the are impotence powerless and unable to punish those that goes against their oath. They should be replace with Ogun, Amadioha and other traditional dieties. The priest who will administered the oath will take blood oath not to be patial. I know some people will oppose me but I will tell u bluntly that many Nigerians politician are on traditional oath to do the biddings of their godfathers e.g God'swill Akpabio and Udom Emmanuel, Orji Uzor kalu and theordor Orji etc Why wouldn't these people sworn on tradition as well to gorven Nigerians well.
